backed it up normally with ripit4me with no problems. remember that you need the newest fixvts I think its 1.6.0.3.
looks great I cannot believe 99 vts thats insane

Tried using AnyDVD 6.1.1.1 Beta and still doesnt work :( I guees sly needs a bit of more time.

I just did my copy with AnyDVD 6.1.0.7 and CloneDVD 2 2.9.0.3 and it works perfect !

DVDIdle mentioned something about 2 versions of the copy protection. Now we get to wonder if we have the easier or more difficult one. ;) I should have it Wednesday.

re; saw 3 have tried using DVD Shrink with any dvd and dvd fab with dvd idle pro still no luck. with DVD Shrink im getting a cyclic redundancy error at 10% of encoding took disc back to wideo store for another and still same error at 10% any help here? im stumped

Download the CloneDVD 2 trial to go along with the AnyDVD and do movie only. Be sure to be using the latest software versions.
RI4M has been working, but update the FixVTS to 1.6.0.3. http://www.ripit4me.org/guide.html You can get the latest FixVTS here at AD.

I still going to 1st do AnyDVD (6.1.0.7 & probably 6.1.1.1 too) and CloneDVD - and see how that goes - I can be hardheaded :) I usually just do the movie, menu & deleted scenes.
Of course I try RipIt4Me too - may even try DVDFab.

It was a separate comment to talonman. Excuse me for the chat item, but since I notice most everyone does it including the staff, I didn't think there would be a problem. If the warning pertains to the post count then no one needs to fear, it would take thousands of posts before I could become addict and I have no desire to make that many posts any time soon. Maybe both of us should have put this in PM. But if you notice, the most of my posts are topic specific. Also, this thread has pretty much run its course for usefulness. We've started repeating the same info. Sort of a case of forum Cyclic Redundancy.

I didn't see anyone say close it yet. I was just saying it's getting very repetitive. We know what's in the Saw 3 files and what software works. The main thing is having software up to date. What more is there?

thanks guys got it with clone 2 and every dvd . ill have to mess with clone dvd tho to figure out how to do menus and deleted scenes. any pointers would be great thanks again everyone!

use the middle option in Clone - Clone DVD - clone a dvd including all title & menus.
In the next screen just click on/highlight a title. It will start to play - want it then leave it checked - if not uncheck it.

I had the same problem. Start with ripit4me, and use DVD Decrypter with it, and burn with DVD Shrink. I did this and made a perfect copy.

Yeah kinda like Shrink - except will play automatically as soon as you click on it and doesn't insert a still image or pic - just 'blanks' it out.

Saw 3
Just bought it today, backed up main movie only using AnyDVD, 6.1.0.7 and CloneDVD 2, 2.9.0.3
Plays back perfect and No Issues while backing up.
I think the problems may be occuring by trying to back up the menus, etc.
Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

So it's definitely something in the in the menus. The only people that are reporting success are those that copy movie only. After I ran it through ripit4me, it was waiting to be transcoded with Shrink but I refuse to make a copy of the entire disc loaded with the encryptions that reduce the quality of the picture.
We'll see what happens.

i will try doing the complete movie with CloneDVD 2 + AnyDVD and let you know if it works on my end if it does its your drive not being able to read the dvd correctly. have you tryed a firmware update latly?

I have always been able to back up any moving using DvdFab, but its not recognizing Saw 3. I have the newest update with Dvdfab. any other suguestions...Thanks I only DVDfab & shrink & Nero on my computer for backing up movies.
