Can anyone tell what could be the problem.
I have burned many dvd with no problem but this has got me stumped !!
Memorex +RW 2.4X skips so bad can't even start watching moive,But If I used Ridata 4x dvd +rw works fine. This disk came with my burner as a sample.
I use nero 6.3.1.6 to burn, works fine on any other media(sony, tdk r+ or r-)( other then the Memorex DVD +RW 2.4X.
Used Img tool burn 1.1.4 same problem.
Is there a setting I need to change for Memorex RW's ?
Img burn tool other settings is set to DVD ROM Booktype.
Any suggestions..........
Or is Memorex dvd +rw crap ?
I just don't have a clue what to do..........
Stumpless

hi rcdualrat
You've answered your own question, memorex is crap,so is tdk and sony(my guess is that youve been lucky with those).Your on the right track with the ritek ridata, you could try verbatim also.

The Memorex +R & +RW use to be made by Ritek and were Ok. But in the last few months, Memorex seems to be buying all their blanks from CMC Mag company which makes junk media. For now, stay away from any Memorex until they realize the mistake they made. You can't go wrong with Ritek media.

I just installed my new LG GSA-4081B yesterday, and have successfully burned 3 Memorex 4x DVD+RW discs. However, using Roxio, and selecting 4x burn speed, it will only burn at 1x speed. LG recommends Fuji or TDK DVD+RW blanks.
My question: if I use Fuji blanks am I likely to be able to record at a 4x, or is it Roxio causing the slowdown? I would consider switching to Nero ($), but Roxio works fine except for the slow speed.
