I used this excellent guide:
http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_avi_to_dvd.cfm
And everything have worked fine, so no complaints there.
BUT, it took me 18 hrs to make the mp2-file, is there a way to cut down that time?
I have a new computer so I don´t think that´s the problem.

MainConcept MPEG Encoder 1.4 is the quickest that I know of at the moment (I use it myself).
Would give you a time reference but it'd depend on source file 'innit !! ;-)

It takes me about a third of the time using MainConcept tho...
