I tried copy using Clone DVD.
One of the subtitles does not appear in my normal DVD player, but it does in the virtual player (Power DVD).
Thanks for any advice

Me too. I have encountered this problem as well:-

I recently used the latest version of DVD Decryptor and Clone DVD to make a copy (whole movie) of a Korean DVD "Untold Scandal" onto DVD+r. I ensured english subtitles were included during the use of the DVD Decryptor while leaving the rest of the settings as default. After burning, I plunked it in a standalone commerical dvd player and after switching the english subtitles on via both menu as well as OSD in the remote control, no subtitles came on. I ejected the disc from the player, plunked it in the PC drive again to view it with Windows media, switched on the english subtitles with a mouse click and lo and behold, the movie came out with subtitles. Anybody ever encountered this before? How the heck to i ensure the subs will work with commercial standalone dvd players? thanks to anyone responding in advance. :>

okay, more details on the prob: I bought a DVD-RW to experiment backing up that disc using different progs. this is the results playing back on standalone players:

1) Using DVD Decrypter to decode and CloneDVD to burn: picture defaults to pan and scan (movie is in letterbox), no problems with sound, however no subtitles
2)Using CloneDVD to decode and burn: Obtain subtitles finally, but now no sound on the 1st soundtrack. However, the movie commentary soundtrack went through without probs.
3) Using DVDshrink to decode and DVD Decrypter to burn: Both sound and commentary are okay, however no subtitles appear after selecting on both remote control OSD or via menu.
4) Using DVDshrink to decode and CloneDVD to burn: same results as 3) except found that it seems easier for standalone player to detect the disk much faster.

For 1) I decoded the original first unto hard disk in the video / audio folders before using CloneDVD to burn. For the rest I encoded it in iso format before burning.

Seems like for burning, CloneDVD is the better choice. However, still have a prob with the encoding bit to obtain both full sound and subtitles together. I wonder if i need to merge subtitles from one encoding to the other to obtain the full picture - *sigh* not sure how to do that and just a pain in the butt if i need to go about that route. any ideas?

Maybe try DVD Shrink instead (as it's free) , it will also allow for output to be .ISO format (where DVD Decrypter can be used to burn).

i did. if you read point 3) I used dvdshrink to decrypt/encode into iso file and then used DVD Decrypter to burn. however, can't activate the subtitles in standalone dvd player
