Hi

I am new here so Hi everyone. I have quite a few music concert DVDs and wish to select songs from them and make my own selection DVD. Is this possible and how do I go about it?

TIA

I've never tried, but a handy way might be to use DVD Shrink to identify and rip the .VOB files you are after. If the whole DVD is just one whole video however, one method that comes to mind would be to dump the dvd to your hard drive and then use VirtualDub to select the section you need, then direct stream copy it, but there has to be a more efficient way than that.

Hope it helps.

Then you'd need to author the DVD. I've used Adobe Encore DVD, its pretty flashy, and gives you a 30 day trial too, but is a real memory hog from my experience and seemed to enjoy crashing on me. That said, nothing else I've seen lets you do as much, so its the better of two evils.

Hershyj,

This really couldn't be easier. Just use something like SmartRipper and extract all of the chapters. You'll then end up with a collection of songs (chapters). In reality a number of individual .VOB files. You can then use any of the software that builds up a dvd such as video studio / DVD Workshop and either re-import them as .VOB files assuming you can, or if not, just rename the extension from .VOB to.mpg then you can. YOu'll be able to build up your own collection of pop videos, which I do all them time.
