I have been trying without success to author a dvd from the mpg files imported in imagemaker. The whole process seems straight forward, but the software has vague burning information.

I have created 3 DVDs which seem to have been created successfully, unfortunately, when reinserting into my Sony DVDRW 530A, it detects as a CD and doesn't show any files (cannot see Video_TS...). The Sonic RecordNow software does show the contents of the DVD and identifies it as an "Appendable DVD-R" with 570 MB free.... what is going on, same thing every time!

Firmware is updated, my system has never had problems.
My standalone DVD player has problems reading the disks (Maxell 4x) and gives "Bad Disk" errors but sometimes will actually play them after a bit of seeking!

Please help, I need to burn important family videos...
