I have some downloaded some apps that say read nfo, or sometimes thats all thats in the file when I try to open the nfo files it says that system cant open this file it is either corrupted or unrecognized. I have never been able to open one of these so I doubt they were all corrupted, what can I do to open these files, I am running xp if that matters. Thanks for the help, and I couldnt find the ad-irc channel, anyone want to give me the address. Thanks again for the help.

THATS THE INFORMATION FILE THAT TELL YOU WHAT TO DO WITH YOUR DOWNLOAD, OPEN WITH NOTEPAD AND READ IT!!!

Or could always download the NFOviewer from DAMN. wont say where to get it so I dont get in trouble for mentioning a known pirate group's site. there's a few NFO viewers out there besides DAMN's. just google for NFO viewers. Notepad can and will open an NFO just some look really bad in it hard to read.

Note pad will open it. If clicking on the file doesn't prompt note pad then just open note pad manually and drag and drop the file into it and it will open.
