Evo Dash burn problem

O.K. heres my problem. I managed to flash my xeciter2.3 lite with the newest version of the xecuter bios. But for some reason I cant get a my xbox to read the newest version of evo dash. I know that there are only three files you have to work with(evo.ini, evodash.xbe, skins) I know that you have to change the name of evodash.xbe to default.xbe in order fo the xbox to read and that you have to include a dummy file 50megs or higher. I also made an iso using two programs(xbox tools, xiso) But even this does not help. I have a Thompson drive and I know this drive sucks. In order to flash the bios I had to try 4 different types of media until I found one that worked(maxell cd-rw). I tried using the same media for the evo dash(I use nero6 to burn) but it still does not work. Can anyone give me any tips on what try next? Did I miss something here or should I just go out and buy another type of media again? Can someone pm me?
