I downloaded dvd decrypter & ripped a dvd onto my hard drive. I then opened DVD X copy advanced & when I hit browse to find the folder I created where the movie was downloaded, I could not select the file to burn.
I had the updated 2/26/04 version with the ripper but had to do a total system restore due to viruses. Now all that's available is the RF version.
I'm lost at this point. I'm feeling like Gilligan on that small uncharted island - I can make a car out of some bamboo sticks & vines, but I can't figure out how to get my RF Platinum to work with a ripper

A car out of sticks and vines! I like that :)

I haven't used XCopy for quite some time so I won't be of much use for that problem. We do have a forum dedicated to 321's products here:

http://dvdxcopy.afterdawn.com/

What I can help you with is DVD Decrypter which can burn the ISO's it creates (Mode>ISO>Write) so that is one option for movies under 4.36 GB. For movies larger than that you can use DVD Shrink (freeware) to rip/compress and then it will burn using Decrypter or Nero if it's on your system.

Hope this helps :)

Rip your movie with Shrink then use 321 r/f in simple mode and you should not have any problems. I have been backing up my dvd's for two weeks now and have not encountered any problems
