hi,

alrite my m8 wants me 2 install evox & update his bios
his bios at mo is Evox D6.

i havent got a clue what chip it is but i no bios has to b 1 256kb 1
& i no its LPC Bassed SST - 49LF020

but every time i try 2 flash bios in evox it says earasing but does nout & when u turn xbox bk on it works but the bios aint updated

any help please
??

ok open up your ftp program (i use flashfxp) then go into your C folder. In there you will see a folder called backup. in that you will see a file called something like BIOS.BIN or maybe EVOX.BIN(depending on how you flashed it). dealete it and ftp your new BIOS over then. then turn your xbox on and flash the new BIOS on the EVOX menu. then reboot your xbox and you will have your new BIOS on it :)

no.. the bio has to be 512k or 1 meg...i update my bio thru evox and i use x2 bio manager to compile then i ftp into the "C" drive and put bio in a "bio"...
