First off, I have a version 1.1 Xbox that I just bought. I have installed a Xenium Mod chip in it. When i try to power it up the xbox hums then stops 2 times then powers up. From there the LED on my mod chip stays red and the light around the eject button flashes orange and green. What is wrong with it? How do i fix it?
also note: there was spill damage from the previous owner. spill damage has been cleaned up though.

search "frag" that is the condition. But it is usually from a bad contact. Also find out which versions of xbox the chip is compatable with.
ver 1.0, 1.5 and 1.6 with 200gb hdds & X3. Team Xecuter Pro front panel with LCD Screen (rocks). GC with qoob pro, Team xecuter's iced cube case mod and a BBA.

I just saw you mentioned spill damage. Did it boot before the chip? And will it boot with the chip turned off?

the connections with the cip are good...we used a fluke to make sure we have good connections...and no it did not boot correctly before the chip was installed...we were hoping it was a bios problem that was keeping it from booting

ok first off.does your xbox boot normal. if it does than you dont have to much to sweat. if not than either you connected two of the lans on the board or you scratched the D0 lan. Take a look.

yomaster9 What version xbox do you have. If this helps i have a versoin 1.4. I installed a applex v modchip and i forgot to scratch off that lacquer coating on the board. I couldnet get it to stick. I finally got it to stick and i went to see it it was a good connection by barley pulling on it and the lan came off. i had to use knar wire to run from the D0 point on the bottom of the board to the exposed lan to my modchip.
