whats is the best software to do this i have roxio 6 nero to burn cds or do i need something else

so you want to cut 2mins out and keep?

if so, i use:
sonic foundry soundforge xp.. works well!

or perhaps even the built in sound editor in Nero 5 or 6...

for more professional grade and features
-cakewalk pro or home studio
-acoustica mp3 audio suite
