some time back yamaha CDR disks were sold with DISKT@TOO these writers could create a design or text on the unused portion of the Data side of the CDR with the laser.
Does anyone know if there is any other software in the market which can do something similar with other cd writers.
It's kinda funny, I used a CRW-F1 for about a year and only tried the tattoo thing once! Come to think of it, I still have that drive laying around here somewhere.

actually i am a software developer and distribute my software on CDS however the cd is hardly 10% full and it would be a visually appealling CD if i could burn my company's logo on the data side.
In that case, you could try looking around for a used Yamaha CRW-F1. Mine's a solid drive that gave me good results - the only reason I replaced it was because it doesn't handle copy protections very well.
