							Dear All

I am trying to copy 2 DVD-R's that a mate has loaned me using Nero 5.5.8.2 and all I'm getting is read errors.

Firstly, I already own the orginal DVD's, just I borrowed his DVD-R Backup's to save me having to rip them myself.

I have allready copied one of the DVD-R's with no problems at all.

The second one is giving me a serious headache. "Read Error" is all I get and I get the message at varying times each time I try to copy the DVD-R (I have 4 coasters now!). The 1st disc died at about 15% done, the second at 25% done, the third at 35% and the fourth at 27%. So as you can see nero is giving read errors where it previously was able to read. The Errors are not consistent (i.e ocurring at the same point on all 4 attempts) - so any idea's?

I was using a Bulkpaq gen 3 (r2) DVD-R to copy the DVD-R to, and the actual film is also being read from a Bulkpaq disc. However the actual film plays fine in both DVD-Rom and DVD-R/W Drives aswell as a Bush & Wharfedale M5 standalone DVD Player. So there are no errors on the actual disc as playback is excellent - just that Nero is picking errors!

The Source Drive is a standard IDE DVD-Rom and the destination Drive is a Pioneer 104.

I have also tried to use to use Instant copy (from VOB software) to do a 1:1 copy - but the prog is cr*p and doesn't seem to recognise the fact that there is a blank Disc in the Writer.

If anyone can drop a couple of links where I can perhaps download a decent program that will allow me to copy from DVD-R to DVD-R.

I have heard many Programs mentioned in various forums over the weeks, but no-one has provided any links to them.

 Any help, info... much appreciated!
