Hello all, here is a question for you. i have pioneer 107 burner and using ritek 04. i am under the assumption that its best to back up ps2 using 1x speed. does this pertain to movies as well or can you go faster with this equipment? thank you

As always the slower the speed the fewer the number of errors. If you have a fast drive with good cache and lots of Ram, it is easy to go fast. If low ram and no cache, then slower is best. So slower is best for the best backup (I do all my data backups at 1X DVD-r and 4X CD-r)

But with that drive I would say you shouldn't notice a difference between 1x and 2x, except the time savings.

I'm in the States and get my Riteks from newegg.com but I have no idea if they take paypal - great site though. I've built my last two comps through them without a single problem.

Oriphus

I also have a 107d & i burn my disks (ritek g04) at 8X..well after the initial 6x start-up period. I have noticed a slight change, in colour tone, between the 6x area & the 8x area. Have you also noticed this effect on your disks?. This does not look to be a very consistent burn.I have checked the disks, for errors, with dvdinfo pro but none have been found (yet). Am I worrying about nothing? Your comments on this phenomena are most welcome as im considering setting my burn speeds back to 4x.

Thanks in advance.

Looking for my old AD
