I don't want too start a flame but I have noticed that everyone assumes that if someone is downloading off a movie it is piracy. I don't agree with nor do I codone copyright infringement in any way however there are movies out ther that are not copyrighted ie. indies, overseas movies, personal movies that some collage kids made screwing around, etc.. I kknow it is against the rules to discuse or codone piracy and I agree with that 100%, but lets not chase someone off running scared like a rabbit in front of a dog when they may be asking a legitmat and legal question.

Yep, its easy to make assumptions. I generally wait till I see a reference to some movie that has not been released for sale or a reference to a site we know to provide illegal dloads. I can get dl movies for a price at movielink.com. I haven't gotten any but I'm pretty sure they are legal.

Newbies and anyone else who hasn't should read the rules.

I do admire geestar20's enthusiasm though. He has been doing good work here and helps a lot of folks out.

Everyone makes mistakes here and deserve as much slack as possible. I say this as a senior with a big target on my back. Feel free to point out my screw-ups but be gentle. 99% of us put a lot of effort to give good answers to the best of our ability. I always welcome criticism as an opportunity to learn.

I enjoyed geestar20's post though...adds a bit of color IMHO....

BTW totsauce, try a search here at AD and you should find some good info. That's in the rules too ;)

totsauce.......although it is not totally clear from your post wether you are attempting piracy or not, it is clear that you haven't read/understood the forum rules as this is second time you posted this question today
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/82074

double posting is also a no no at AD

life is like a shit sandwich.......the less bread you have.....the more shit you have to suffer!!!!
