Hello Everyone,
Just a quick question for you. I just hooked up a Sound Card w/ a Digital output to my pc and have it connected to my A/V Receiver. In the settings I have the S/PDIF checked. Shouldn't my RX see the Digital Signal? When i play a XVID Movie with AC3 or DTS the light on my RX doesn't switch to either Dobly Digital or DTS? In the VLC Audio options I also tried 5.1 and stero and neither changed. I downloaded a Dobly Digital 5.1 Sound Test and when i played it the Center, Sub, Fronts all worked but Surrounds played from the front? I've been playing around for hours, any help?

1. Should my RX DTS or Dobly Digital Light show when playing a XVID AC3 Movie with VLC?

2. Why would my surrounds play from the front during a Dolby Digital Tesy?

3. What's the correct settings for VLC while watching a AC3 Movie?
