This is a tough one. I don't use CD-RWs that much (why in the f* I own the domain then? ;) and all that I have tried so far worked ok.
A while ago I bought these:
TDK CD-RW700 4-10x
Manufacturer : unknown
Code : 97m10s00f
Disc Type : CD-RW
Usage : General
Recording Layer : Phase Change
Recording Speed : 4 X - 10 X
Capacity : 79:59.74
703 MB
Additional Capacity : n/a
Overburn Capacity : not tested
At least in PC use these are ok.

I have no personal experience in those but I trust Mitsubishi as the manufacturer.
You could grap the disc ATIP with Nero CD Speed, perhaps run the overburn-test and open a new thread for that disc.

I just bought an iomega Predator CD-RW drive and purchased some Memorex 4x CD-RWs to use in it. I tried "formatting" my first CD-RW today and it failed. It seems no matter what I try to do with this disk it fails. I'm using iomega's HotBurn software which shipped with the drive. I've already copied a few (read as made a few backups of owned cdroms) CDroms over to CD-R and they worked fine. They were Fuji branded. Anybody else have problems with Memorex CD-RWs?

NisMax - saw your question about Memorex CD-RWs - I've been trying to write some; shoot, to do ANYTHING with some of the 4x CD-RWs, but they just aren't recognized in my drive. It finds CD-Rs fine, writes great otherwise. Is there some sort of speed compatibility issue with CD-RWs not being downwardly compatible? Think my CD-RW is a 40/10/40. Any info would be great, otherwise, they're going back to best buy tomorrow ...

@Nismax, Jacobwall: If your CDRWs are Memorex, try another brand, those are notoriously bad and a LOT of drives don't recognize them. Even those that do burn them very badly...

fallen_br, Thanks for the info. Wish I had known this before I bought these blasted things. At least I didn't get alot of them. Came in a 5 pack. So I guess I'll end up with 5 CDRW coasters. Woohoo! Any recommendations on GOOD CD-RWs??

After couple of days and they was find again. I bought 4 of them and two discs did have this behaviour, still using them thou...
