I BUOGHT A SWAP MAGIC CD V3 AND I WANT TO KNOW HOW YOU CAN PLAY GAMES WITHOUT THE PS2 COVER OR THE SLIDE CARD SO I WANT TO KNOW HOW TO PLAY BACKUPS WITH JUST A SWAP MAGIC CD I HAVE V7 PS2

you cannot just use swap magic on its own to play backups. u need either a modchip, slide card or flip-top to use it.

hi, yeha u need either slide card modchip or fliptop i have the slidecard. Its very easy to use :-) u can make one easlily i will soon post a link 2 the template. cos i fukn 4got it :-0

well you could take your ps2 cover off and unscrew the top of the drive and swap your disc's that way but be careful not to break it, and always close it so your cd doesnt fly across the room and or break the laser!

I think the flip top is way better than the slide card, because once it's installed your all set to go, and it's easy to install.

I would suggest either going with a no-solder mod or the flip top. I have had good results with the no-solder mod. The best thing if you are going to be playing lots of backups is to get your playstation moded. The cost is around $120.00, DMS3 chip included.

you can boot backups with swap magic and cd loader
without flip lid and slide card i do it all the time
just remove the cd tray cover so you can get to the
white cog easy
