i baught a fliptop and i took off my old cover and put on a fliptop and the cover never fit. so i put my old cover back and NOT 1 DISK will be read. not a dvd , a swap magic or a anything. can anyone help.

it doesn't even say disk cant be read? jsut says scanning disk forever. if i dont have a cleaner what can i use>?


*note that the cover is now off. and i put in say swapmagic and it stays at the browser screen and its making noise like its trying to read it but nothing happins

still didn't work says no data for all disks still. i read on the faqs that you have to find a dial. is that situation? if so where is the dial.
k now im about to throw my ps2 out the fucking window. 1 the cover is a piece of shit andf my ps2 is a pile of shit ty

You didnt ajar the reset or eject button interface , during the exchanging process did you ? If that is the case no lens cleaning will fix that problem.

ya i took the ribbon out for the eject
then i put it back in mabey backwards i dunno but i got a ps2 v9/10 if anyone wants it for parts or anything. also a new fliptop

Its a v9/10 isnt it well you might aswell just get a new ps2 as to repair it would be a huge hassle.
The LA chip has burned out probably.
Sony really have to use better lasers.
