Does anybody use swap magic dvd 2.0 and swap magic cd 3.0, that games boot up 100% everytime without having to go through the swap process a few time before playing? All my games work perfect after they are finally loaded. I don't understand why if a game will boot right up the first time one time, and others it could take up to six times or something to boot? I use Verbatim dvd+r for dvd games and maxwell cd-r for cd games and cd loaders. It doesn't make sence to me, also my original games boot up fine 100%, and I clean my lens.

Try using Ritek, Fujifilm, or Memorex. All those brands work flawlessly.

I backed up the suffering, using smd 2.0 and fliptop i kept getting the red border. After six failed attempts I concluded it was a bad burn, I cleaned by laser, it booted on first attempt.
I have v4 ps2, I prefer fujifilm dvd+r, I've used verbatim +r's but some games have choppy audio. I've backed up over 20 games on dvd+r and my ps2 v4 reads them all.
--clean your laser--
it makes a big difference
hope u get everythin u deserve.

So you are saying that the dvd+r's boot up everytime, without having to swap more than one time? Everyone keeps telling me that ps2 like dvd-r better than +r. Also I tried Fuji, and sony dvd+r's and they work even worse than the verbatims for me.

what version ps2 do you have? I have a v4 and v9 and every backup loads right the first time. Maybe your laser is dirty or getting weak.

I have a version 7 ps2. I clean the laser regularly when it needs it. Are you using dvd+r's?
