Is Usenet monitored at all by RIAA, MPAA, etc. I heard it is not. I am thinking of getting an account with astraweb anyone have any experience with them?

Get peerguardian and you should be ok. by the way dont use astraweb, first call you isp and ask them what is the adress to their usenet adress, i have time warner and get free unlimited bandwitdth, all isp have free servers, the catch is some have a limit on bandwidth, easynews is superfast but expensive. try aol.
