Ok, I've read like most of the posts on port forwarding for BT when a firewall's involved, and i'm pretty sure this will stump everyone.
The scenario:
location - Singapore
provider - starhub
service - Maxonline 1500 (Meaning 1.5 mbit cable modem connection with an upstream cap of 15k/s)
network setup (primitive)- server pc with direct access to cable modem (pc must be turned on for other computers to have internet access). This pc links to a 5 port HUB (yes hub, sorry i had this for a long time!) which connects to 2 other pcs. The server pc has 2 network cards, one connected to the modem, the other to the hub. The rest just connect from their NICs to the hub.
platform - windows XP
Firewall definetely and positively turned off, ports 6881 - 6889 forwarded anyway.
See the problem when I use bit torrent on any of the pcs, is that on the tracker, there are 500+ seeds, of which only less than 50 eventually end up on the "Advanced" listing with BitTornado. of these say, 50, only 3 are not "snubbed" that leaves me with only 1 with a downloading speed of say 3.0k/s and the rest with 0.2k/s.
It says on the client that i'm behind a firewall when clearly there is none! A file that has been snagged thousands of times take me 4 or 5 days to download, and i perhaps have an upload ratio of say, 5-6.
Perhaps it doesn't make sense to you guys, but i'd really like to see the feedback and hopefully a solution to my problem. To those living in Singapore (if there are any), or anyone who's familiar, will a wireless cable modem gateway help? I mean doing away with my present setup and perhaps upgrading to a 3 mbit connection do any good?

I'll discharge my cauliflower all over that lettuce patch!
