Ive seen pointers before but what media works best in an xbox thomson drive???? CD-RW, DVD+R, or DVD+RW maybe???? also any recomended brands of the media would be great......

Well...I told them to sticky that post but they didn't listen to me...and now I can't find it. Anyway, I have a Thomson and the one good thing about it is that it plays DVD+R and +RW, also of course plays DVD-R but does not play any CDR or DVD-RW hope this helps you a little.

Try TDK brand of CDRW, has worked for 5 out of 5 times I have modded a box with a thompson.

yea and memorex dvd-r work well on the thomson drives too
course not all are same, but by percentage, they do well.

XB360 hitachi xtreme f/ware, chameleon case, whisper & airflow blue led. XBOX w/ 2.6 2x custom "djboogie" bios. PSP 1.50 w/ devhook .52 % 303 f/ware.

it does plays DVD-RW, mine does and always, i have an xbox vers 1.0
