Can video cd be read in a DVD player with a CD-R?

I was wondering if i can make a video cd with a CD-r and then play it with a dvd player?

Will it be able to read the video cd on the dvd player?

yes, as long as your dvd-player states that it is able to handle VCD there shouldnt be any dramas.
