Hello, I am still searching the forum for a similar problem, but have not yet found a solution. I followed various guides to authoring a dvd, and what I have done is use TMPGEnc to convert my avi file into a separate M2V file and MP2 file. Then I used TMPGEnc Author to author the dvd into its appropriate VOB files. However, I noticed that the Video_TS folder was full, but the Audio_TS folder was completely empty. Anyways, when I burned the Dvd and put it in my dvd player, the video and everything was EXCELLENT, but there was no sound whatsoever. I also tried converting the MP2 file into a WAV file and then using AC3 machine to convert that into a .ac3 file, however when i specifically chose that for the audio in TMPGEnc Author and re - authored it, I got the same results (Empty audio_ts folder, no sound on dvd). I'm sure the solution is simple...i just hope someone can help me out nice and quick :)

The audio folder only has to be 'seen' by the dvd software,it doesn't have to have anything in it. Most softwares automatically add that folder just prior to burning so that your disc will meet dvd compliancy. I tried that latter statement you wrote, and decided to stay away from doing it,since it served no end.....:)

I have been told Audio folder is commonly empty, and your audio MUST be 48KHz sampling rate for DVD standard.
Redbook CD must be 44.1; DVD must be 48.
Now THERE'S a simple solution for ya! (LOL - hope that's it...)
