I have never seen this problem before, I unpacked a program and where I usually get the .bin and .cue files, I get a .mdf and .mds files. I try to burn them using alcohol 120% but it says unrecognized file format for recording, please insert a recognized file format for recording. I am just doing the image copy, and it lists the formats that it will burn and .mds is listed. Why wont it burn the disc? and what can I do to make it burn the disc? The Alcohol 120% says its a media descriptor image file if that helps, I cant figure out whats wrong. Thanks for any advice.

Have you tried to mount? also check out the cdr forum incl;uding this link

hey i had the same problem. I know this is late getting you a reply but i just encountered this today.

My Solution.
Upgrade your Alcohol 120 program. Mine was version 1.4.x. After upgrading (v1.9.2) It detects them perfectly. They must have fixed that bug or something. Hope it works for you like it did me.
