Heading sums it up, I have read in several threads that when doing a movie only disc and using Decrypter, it is "better" to rip it in IFO mode ratehr than File mode. Is this the case and if so why?

I have made hundreds of copies using File mode with great success, but if using IFO produces ANY improvement it will be my new method when ripping with Decrypter.

Thanks for the advice y'all.

DVD2one web site recommends file mode but using DVD Decrypter and DVD2One version 1.3 I've made better than 100 back ups ripping in IFO mode. I used it because it easily (lazy) gave me the smallest possible rip (main movie only) which meant less compression on the final result. The less compression used the better the result. I also only keep ac36 channel or its surround equivalent and discard all other audio files.
