Personally, I like AdAware. Updates download & install easily. Updates are frequent. Search & Destroy found a few Spyware cookies the first time or two that I ran it (After running AdAware). Now, S & D finds nothing. Last attempts at updating S & D did not yield any updates. Seems like AdAware has caught up w/S & D. Not going to get rid of S & D tho. It might still find some things that compromise privacy.

Definatly Ad-aware i agree with bulk Spybot is rarely updated maybe once a month if ya lucky(which really is no good). Ad-Aware has regular updates and i have never picked up anything with Spybot after running Ad-aware so i deleted it.
You're youthfull curiosity has served you well my friend, for which you will be rewarded.

Yes, Praetor
Got it at www.Downloads.com
Just got through running it & it picked up 24 items to get rid of. Has not been that long since I ran it last. Always use AdAware before signing on. Tonight it only found one item.

PS: Tried the http thing and it did the "fastclick" route. Lord I hate that.
I wouldn't want to F*ck any of the Kerry's. I've got some standards

Thats good, I was still on 1.1 (but I think one of the updates kicked me to 1.2 good to see it is still under development. I thought the developer finished University and I wasn`t expecting any new versions. As Preator will agree the best distractions are done in University :)

Spybot is the best but Ad aware sometimes gets what spybot misses. Most folks use them both.

Please note that if you've installed any software that came bundled with spyware, you must first unistall them before running either spyware removers, because they will render the software useless and in many cases make them uninstallable.

The version of Spybot search and Destroy is 1.3 RC5. Thus it is still in a bug test version and not a full release version. But from what I read that should be out soon. Until the release version hits the web, I would be very causious with this download.

Prisoner,
Everything I have been able to pull up does not show that this version of S&D (1.3) is RC5. Do you have a link to that?
Anyway, I like what I have. If it's only a beta version, then the final should be good.
