when I play .vob files with divx(only player I have that can open them)on my computer there is no sound. please help

you may need a DVD software package to play the VOB file. i ripped a dvd and tried playing it with the playa and the language was in spanish or something. i thinks that because it doesn't know what region i was in. there are some codec you can get that will allow you to get the right sound. i have the ACEmega codecs pack and i can play VOB files through that without and problem.

Give a try to Media Player Classic or Nero ShowTime.
