How do i install dvd files into adobe premiere?

im trying every combination to import dvd files into adobe premiere (6.0 to pro)

when i try:
"dvd decrypter" > "virtual dub" - virtual dub doesnt accept the files

and when i try:
smart ripper > dvd2avi > VFAPI - the avi short cut doesnt read in premiere

what am i doing wrong? or is it my computer?
