BEST SOFTWARE TO BURN

I just bought a DVD burner and no nothing about it. I wouldlike to know which is the best software to buy to burn a DVD movie to a DVD. I was thinking about with DVD Cloner II or DVD X Copy Platinum. Which should I go with? Thanks

DVD Shrink is probably the best you could use. Using Shrink to shrink the movie and burn with Nero. I've been doing that for awhile since that has been recommended here by more than one person. Besides Shrink is free

Sassie,

Best bet is DVD Shrink & dvd decryter..Shrink will rip most dvds' and decryter will burn...once in awhile you may haveto use decrytper to rip..Dont waste your money on xcopy..it won't rip encryted dvds'..the above two programs are free and work great...good luck

dvd shrink burns the dvd too,but does Nero burn a better quality dvd

Shrink does not burn the DVD it utilizes either DVDDecrypter in .iso mode or Nero in File mode.

DVDDecrypter only burns in .iso and if you are in file mode Nero is used. Nero will only burn as good as the blank media and burner are. Nero can be setup to burn automatically in file mode and DVDDecrypter can be setup to burn automatically the .iso file. Both will burn a functional menu if you do whole disc. If you want to remove selective part there are other progs I would use

Here is all you have to do. Hopefully I did not leave anything out.


1. Make a folder on your Desktop> call it Rip Movies

2. Insert Movie in either DVD burner or DVD-Rom and click cancel when it asks you what to use to open the movie

3. Open DVD Shrink> click Open Disc> Shrink does quick analysis

4. Movie Only Option

a. Go to Re-author and Click

b. Under Main movie slide the main movie to the left under DVD Structure

c. You can now remove the languages you do not want and the audio you do not want.



5. Click Backup and go to burn setting and disable Nero if you have Nero

6. Click SelectTarget Drive> click Iso Disc Image

7. Select Target Image File> Browse>Desktop> Rip Movie ( file you made)

8. Make sure to check the box Launch DVDDecrypter to burn the output image

9. click O.K

10. It will now do analysis and then encode the movie and automatically burn with DVDDecrypter.

Thank you so much for this information. I will try the DVD Shrink and see what happens. I am new at this and have no idea what I am doing, so this information is good to have. Thanks again.
