Does anyone know if there is a dvd or cd that contains sound samples for setup of speaker location and or adjustments of frequency responds as your own personal preference or profile like the use of a equalizer. I currently use a function generator to an auxilary input, but its a little cumbersome. I just wondered if someone has come up with an eqivilant on a cd or dvd.

Yes, every single DVD that has THX support on it - ie Star Wars etc, has it. Also, you can try the Avia or DVE discs that i recommended in the Home Cinema section of afterdawn:
