Mpeg cutting. Audio runs out of sync

I used TMPGEnc to cut off about 5 min from an VCD Mpeg-1 file but after i did it, the file seems to in snyc but after about a couple a minutes it runs out of sync and it gets worse as the video goes on. I guess its coming gradually and is not starting at a certain point.

Does anyone know a solution for this or is there some easier way to cut off some min from a video file?
