Obviously Miyamoto has not been around w/kids, has he? Johhny himself couldn't resist the temptation of playing Pokemon underneath his desk. :)

I can imagine it would work great as a way for Japanese kids to learn English, but in the 'States there aren't any officially released applications that would fit a middle-school setting... That I know of, anyway.
Maybe Brain Training for Kindergarten or Preschool?

Hey, they have to do something...no one wants their junk, and most of their sales are to ignorant parents...and most kids have told the parents, "I would rather get socks than nintendo"

Selling to schools seemed to work very well for Apple...and Nintendo seems to want to become Apple.

My 6 year old loves his DS(with R4) and my 11 year old is always kicking off to play on it. They actually play on this more than the PSP(with gen FW).

I actually played Mario Party yesterday evening and it was wuite fun.

Not a fan of the Wii though, We use ours as a glorified media player (Geexbox)
