OK so I'm having problems flashing my bios. First let me explain the problem and what I've done, then maybe you can post some suggestion.

ok so here's my hardware/software breakdown

Xbox: Version 1.3
HDD: Western Digital 7200rpm 120gb HD
modchip: Xecuter lite 2.3b [+]

Dashboard: Slayers EvoX 2.5
Bios currently installed in bank 1: X2 4981

Now I'm trying to upgrade my bios into Bank 2 using a the latest X2 4983 Bios @512k For that i'm using FlashX version 1.1 but what happens is it goes through its process of erasing the bios then it just crashes when the progress bar reaches 2/3'rds and I made sure my mod is in the un-protected mode. Now I even tried upgrading to flashX 1.2 but when I run the new version of flashX it just won't load @ all. the whole app crashes when loading. I tried even running it off a bootable cd I made using craxtion. Now there's another twist here. I may have accidently the very last time I upgraded my bios installed a 1mb bios into bank 1 and 2. but for the life of me I just can't remember. :D

Now i'm just paranoid about trying to flash bank 1. cause what if it crashes doing that.

any ideas?

PS. I don't wanna have to buy a programmer....and I have access to another xbox with the same chip so I can hot swap.

I had similar problems and it fixed it. Also look at the other links for creating a file for banks 1 and 2
