It seems legit, Can someone tell me if it will actually work?

Yes it theoretically works fine -- you sacrifice an unbelievable amount of quality (and potentially make nonstandard media) however it can be done

It does work, however, I find SVCD the better video quality by far! Converting a dvd to SVCD usually takes 2 to 3 cd-r's.

Shoey :)

Its not just that theyve converted it to SVCD Shoey but rather they've shoved the entire DVD onto 1 SVCD (as opposed to the usual two or three)

Ok, some more questions!

1. Will this work for VCD?
2. Can I have more than 80 minutes of video on one 80 min cd-r using this method?

1. Yes you prolly could hack together a VCD for an entire DVD but your quality would be dismal
2. You can get a VCD to hold more than 80 minutes but it would be so nonstandard its not funny anymore.

Ok, I download a torrent with 4 video files, OGM in it. They total 680 mb. They total around 90 mins put together, is there any way to convert to VCD, without losing much quality, and so I am able to fit to one cd-r?
The video is super quality, so it wouldnt matter if I lost that much quality!

And also, Can I convert .ogm directly to vcd .mpg?
Instead of converting to avi then to vcd?
