coachop94: Your question suggests you had some kind of problem. Why don't you first tell us what the problem was? We really need to know. Updated DVD43 software? Updated Patin-Couffin? What actually happened?

aboertje: hetzelfde voor u. You really need to give more info if you expect a reasonably helpful answer,

BTW: I am sure that - by now - you have noted that the newest version of DVD43 doesn't require Patin-Couffin any longer...See latest software: DVD43 2.0.0.71.

Hi Mate

You should Always uninstall a program Before installing a new one (of course there are exceptions) but it is safer so.

Yes uninstall both DVD 43 and Patin from: Start, Settings, Control panel, Add Remove programs - AND restart your computer - AFTER that install the new one.

With DVD 43 in this instance it downloads the OLD version and I have NO Ideea where to get the latest AND I do not know why we still have the old one here at afterdown ; Someone's playing silly with the uploading the wrong stuff ! Hope I was of some help & PLEASE anyone ADVISE where to get the latest. Thank You ALL !

Thanks dolar475 for the info. I have not had problems with with the DVD43 or Patin-Coufin. Does DVD43 work with Nero? I've used it only with xpress. I wonder if the others that downloaded the new version have uninstalled the old before downloading the new one?

when you insert your CSS encrypted dvd do you get the green happy face icon in your system tray? if you don't then DVD43 isn't working properly.

Mandad...
i read your post but, one thing i dont get is,how do you know that DVD43 has decrypted if xpress says the Dvd is encrypted??????
If DVD43 has decrypted the DVD,then you should NOT get the css error.,ie., in simple terms what 'fsmarin' has posted is 110% correct- if DVD43 has worked, then the smiley face should turn GREEN from Yellow. AND you should not get a css error in xpress.
In other words, the new version of DVD43 is not working properly. May be needs fixing!!!!!!!

Thankx for all your help guys. I just had to reinstall xcopy and it worked, sort of. To answer your questions, DVD43 did show green smiley face. The problem I have now is that after I have ripped the dvd, when I place a blank one in the drive to write to, it still thinks I have the original dvd in there. It's like my burner frezzes. Is this something to do with my drivers?? How do I fix?????

manda.d: That is just one of those screwy things that seems to happen more often when you have 'borderline' conflicting pieces of software on your computer. Programs that are more often causing 'strange' and unpredictable reactions from your computer include: Roxio, Nero InCD, DVD43, DVDXCopy, Patin-Couffin,...there are others. The more of these you have simultaneouly installed the more likely it is you will get some goofy reactions. When I installed Patin-Couffin last week - 'for the fun of it' - with each reboot I kept getting 'Your computer has found new hardware...' messages and asked me to insert the Patin-Couffin disk...No matter how often I uninstalled and reinstalled the program, it insisted with each restart that I procede that way. I haven't decided yet what to do next...
