I've looked at previous posts but am still at a loss. I've installed both the adaptec and forceaspi files and gone through the stated installs and reboots. The DOS lettering states that the aspi has been successfully installed yet when i use the "aspi installation verification" it shows that all four files listed are "not installed". Thus, when i try to run my dvd ripping software, it states that i need to install the aspi mananger. I'm running XP home ed. THanks a million for any assistance.

Hi,

Try running the KILLASPI batch file in the ForceASPI folder, reboot, run the INSTASPI from the same folder then reboot again.

Which version of ForceASPI did you use? 1.7 or 1.8?

Try verifying the install with ASPICHK.EXE found here:

http://www.adaptec.com/worldwide/support/driverdetail.jsp?cat=%2fProduct%2fEZ-SCSI_5.0&filekey=aspichk.exe&sess=no

My killer sig came courtesy of bb "El Jefe" mayo.
