Gizmodo has broken what promises to be the most popular story of the next few weeks today, revealing what they believe to be a prototype of Apple's upcoming "iPhone HD," the fourth generation model of the extremely popular smartphone.
The report says the phone was found on the floor in a bar in Redwood City, with a case that camouflaged it to look like a current generation iPhone 3GS.

Now I know we will get the usual flood of "Apple sucks" comments and I am by no means a fan of the company, (I think they rip off the consumer to no end and force continued upgrades for lackluster products) but if anyone waited, this will be THE iPhone to get, leaps beyond the past models, and probably the only model to actually be worth the price tag.

My HTC Touch/Vogue kicks this phone's ass :P
I hate the iPhone because its just as locked down as their computers. HTC is backed my a great open sourced community that's always cookin' up all kinds of stuff. My HTC is like 3 years old but it's like brand new now that I've just switched from WinMo 6.5+ to Android... Can't do that on an iPhone...

Looks nicer than past iPhone's , but still looks the same. When Job's said "A+ update" you'd expect it too look a lot nicer/sleeker than the other ones.
Wasn't expecting much, but was slightly disappointed, which is a usual with Apple products. Was hoping this phone would make me stop hating the iPhone. Maybe it's just a fake, we'll see.

Maybe if they put Android on it, it might be good, oh wait, this thing still has no keyboard! And it is just now getting a flash? I had no idea that the iPhone had no flash (other than the lack of Adobe Flash)...I'll have to use that to rip on my iPhone owning friends.

Want yes? Iphone user since the first. And that doesn't mean I'm a fanboy. It's the only apple product I have. I'm excited for a front facing camera and a flash camera.

i love people who hate the iphone. i was one of you then i actually got one and im sorry but nothing compares to it. ive never had a problem typing without a keyboard and i never had the need to jail break it. only thing jail breaking would let me do in put custom txt ring tones.

I agree with you here, at least on the matter of people hating the iPhone just for being an Apple product. I feel it is a GOOD phone as-is, and I do own one and am using it now to write this post, but the iPhone is MUCH BETTER if not GREAT when it is jail broken. Now I can multi-task with ease, play PS1 games along with old school Snes and genesis games, and I can even turn it into a wifi hotspot - just like Androids are. IMO the iPhones build quality and touch screen are leaps and bounds ahead of HTC and google branded phones. Overall though the iPhone as-is definetly leaves you wanting more, especially now with these new androids out. I welcome a new 4th gen iPhone, but flash player would be a deal breaker for me. Why the hell can't apple just get along with adobe and get it on their iPhone! Apple is losing market share as we speak because of this flaw... does Mr. Jobs seem to care? nope he has his own agenda, I am guessing it has something to do with his ' No pron on the iPhone' comment he made. he would rather have us buy androids with flash player and pron apps galore than have anyone use an iPhone for whatever they choose to.
that's just my 2 cents and I assure you- I am not and will not ever be an 'Apple fanboy'

As iPhones go this looks much better than what they have done previously. As usual they are still behind the Curve, no pun intended. At least this model looks like you can drop it without distroying your phone. Job's is still managing his cult well I see we have a couple of buyers in the tread, although a little knowledge and more experience would fix that of course.
