For some reason i can not get any sound. I ripped the VOB files using Smart Ripper 2.41 and then went into DVD2AVI and set the audio settings like it says on the website HOWTO. I then save the AVI and when i play it i get no sound??? Anyone got any ideas ??

Wrong audio track? No Dolby audio on the disc? Try various settings and create new AVI.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">DVD2AVI project and play the 1GB or so WAV file with your audio player to see if you succeeded this time. Also, the .txt files SmartRipper creates when you ripped the movie are pretty useful as they describe the audio tracks, their order, format, etc...

You're not following *high pitched voice, slaps in the face* the guide.. Look at the settings for the AVI.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">DVD2AVI and what we do after that --> SAVE PROJECT. That saves the .d2v file, not an AVI file and also creates WAV file to your HDD.

d2v file is going to be only few megs upto few tens of megs, the WAV will be around 1-2GB.
