MAJOR DVD PROBLEMS reading blanks

I have an Iomega and it did great for the first 50 DVD's or so. Then all the sudden it started reading ALL types of blank DVD's as Audio DVD's. Media Player will even pop up. If you go to Window's explorer and click on the rom drive it reads that the blank DVD has 1 track on it. Even though it is blank. It also reads that it has 1.99 gigs and all 1.99 gigs are used. I've had it read nearly 50 blanks this way of all varieties. So I finally put the burner in another computer and I'll be damn....It started doing the same thing. I went out and bought a new DVD burner (liteon) and I'll be double damn....It's doing the same thing.... The techs on the phone can't even help me. Is like the ultimate virus that got through the system or what? Thanks for any help.
