That sounds like bad news for Verizon, Sprint, AT&T, and everyone else who offers both 3g and cell service.

So, how long before our "Devices" become Data devices with "Voice" features, instead of "voice" phones with data features?

I could see a time where I would not need to call a "voice only" device and all communication (or most) would be done over IP as either an IP voice or IP video call. Traditional "Voice" protocols would hardly be needed.

Isn't the future great?
Now, how will this affect my Google Voice account?
