Is there a method where one can capture certain music tracks from a DVD Concert (such as the stones 4 flicks) and burn those to a cd???
If so, would someone please take the time and explain to me how this can be done and what I would need to do it. I have a multi format DVD / cd burner and a dvd player on my computer. I have access to most software packages.
You'll have a list of chapters show up in one of the windows. Select the chapter you want and hit the 'Start' Button. It'll rip that chapter of the DVD to your hard drive.
Now you'll wanna pull just the audio out of that scene. I'd suggest using VOBedit at:
http://www.mpucoder.com/derrow/ Open the VOB file that was just ripped to your computer, and hit the DEMUX button in VOBedit. A new window will come up, asking what to demux. Choose AC-3 audio, because thats probably the audio format thats used in the DVD. Now choose a place so save it to and now you just need 1 more program.
I've never used this program before...
http://www.mediatwins.com/products/ac3_decoder-download.htm Its an .ac3 to .mp3 converter.
It'll convert all the audio from that ripped chapter into something playable in Winamp, etc. Hopefully you'll end up with a mp3 file :)
Hope this helps,
