I am new to this DVD making thing. I have just installed Nero6 with ExpressVisiona and used it to make a DVD video of my own animation. Problem is that when I play it back, it is jumpy. It dose not load from the DVD ahead of it's self. ie. it is playing at the speed of the DVD player. It is OK in this machine, but when I play it on a slower computer, it gets worse. Could anybody tell me how to author a DVD so that it loads the files ahead of its self.

No DVD loads the files ahead of itself. It plays the files in real time at constant speed. What kind of software is Expressvisiona? I would suggest you try changing the discs you are using. Which brand of discs are they?

Sorry, my mistake. The DVD player software that I am using gave me the impression that it was preloading the movie.

Again, sorry. The software that I used to create the DVD is NeroVision Express2.

Maybe you could tell me then how to create a smooth running movie from an AVI animation file. I exported the file to AVI from the animation program at 30fps in full PAL resolution. Although the animation is only 4 mins long it created an AVI file of 8 Gb. I then used NeroVision Express to make the DVD. I had imagined that at 30fps any animation would look smooth, but alas it is jumpy. Like the computer cannot read the file fast enough. Is there a way to smooth it out?
