I've burned Crouching Tiger but it won't playback in my pc or standalone(locks up). My standalone 'should' play +r media. When I open the copied dvd in E: and select the TS file and open it with IFO it plays fine.
I bought it in to the office and it works fine on my coworkers pc. I'm going to electronic store later to see if it will play in their standalones.
My issue is, anything I split won't play in my standalone, but I did 2 kung fu flicks and str8 copied with decrypt and they play fine. I'm using HP200i writer and recordmax to burn. I used the HP +r media.

I split LOR using my compaq and -r media and it would only playback in Pc's. Took the compaq back last week. But same issue with the standalone. Am I missing something???

I am having the same problem. I have split several movies and burnt the DVDs and they play fine on the PC and lock-up on the standalone player.

What is your burning program. It's hard to find input on this but everywhere you read you will find people saying not to use Nero but with no real reason as to why. When I started I used to use nero but and tried all the settings but was having similar problems like you. My compatibility was just not there so I started to use DVDdecryptor instead and now I have had no problems whatso ever.

Good luck

I used decrypt. But I didn't change any compatability or anything like that. I just did a rip and edit in IFO, but its strange it won't play in my pc that burned it but launches automatically in someone elses.

I'm going to try again from scratch again and hopefully it'll work this time. But I'm tired of 'coasters'.

Used decrypt and Recordnox Max. But this is across the board. I had a computer last week that burned -r media. Now I have one with +r media. My standalone is a no go on anything I have to split. But works like a charm with str8 copys.
