i just got my fliptop and put it together without a problem.i got the 2 discs with it. the cd one says swap magic 3.0 at the top then at the bottom says 3.2 usa build and the dvd disc says 2.0 usa build.i cant get the ps2 to even read the cd disc and the dvd one will load to the screen where it says insert disc so i insert a burned disc that i have used with gameshark so i know it works and hit X and i get a red outline around the insert disc screen and it freezes like that every time.is there something wrong with the boot discs? do i need a newer version? if so what one? please help

yes it is possible you got a bad disc and cd ver3.2/dvd ver2 are the latest versions of swapmagic.Is the ps2 you are using an NTSC usa version?

its ok just checking because it has been known for some suppliers to send the wrong region discs,If you just got your swapmagic discs then i suggest you contact your supplier and see if they will swap them for you.Also it will tell you on the back of your ps2(on label with model number)if its a NTSC or PAL model

i dont see any label with a model number on the back of it maybe it was on the part where i put in the network adapter.do you think the network adapter or ps2 hard drive could be the reason its not working?

several people on this site have mentioned problems booting backups with swapmagic and some modchips when they had the ps2 hard drive installed cant realy help you much more than that as i have no experience with the ps2 hard drive

well i tried it without the hard drive and it still didnt work so i guess thats not the problem.guess i will have to try another swap magic disc hopefully that works. thanks for the help anyways

nm i just burned castlevania lament of innocence and that worked fine.i was reading on another board that some games need cdloader so maybe thats the problem why the other games didnt boot.
