Hey, 1st post here...forum looks promising.
I've recently tried to back up DVD's using elby's clonedvd 2.0.8.3, and anydvd 3.6.1.1. I go through the motions, and finally end up with burn process successful. I've burned many backups using same software, and same media, on a different computer, and never had a problem, even on my first try.
The Dvd's will play back on my PC, but not on my standalone (I have already played back many DVD+R's on my standalone). Any ideas? Below is all pertinent information....Thx in advance

Software>Elby's CloneDVD 2.0.8.3 AnyDVD 3.6.1.1
Writer/ROM> HP DVD420i 8X
Burn Speeds>1X,2.4, 4X, (tried them all)
Media>Maxell DVD+R 4.7 GB
Standalone>Panasonic RV-32 (definately plays DVD+R)

Again, any help is greatly appreciated, I have a very expensive coaster collection right now!

OK, no response yet.....i just tried my older dvd+r's (maxells), that were done on my friend's computer, with same software, and they work on my stand alone player, so it's not the media, it's not the player, i don't think its the software, because i cant find any settings that might have been changed, so that leaves what, the burner??? But the DVD's will play back with PowerDVD, and Window's media player......I am lost, and very angry.....someone respond please.

Sorry i couldnt reply earlier..i was eating my dinner you see..

Have you seen this site :-

Looks like there may be a problem with Maxell DVD+r, have you tried any other media or even DVD-r?

Have you got the lastest ASPI drivers on your system?
Have you tried updating the firmware of you drive?
You may have a dodgy batch of disks. Have you tested them for read errors?

If i were you, as you seem to be very impatient, I would download DVDshrink & DVD decrypter, shouldnt take more than a few minutes to download, and burn that method TO START WITH then test those backups on your system. If that method fails then perhaps we can take things further.
