DVD burning problem

Hi,
I've been burning many DVDs. Everything went well. I checked them and they seemed fine but after I watched the movie for about an hour, I started getting stuck frequently until, at the last 20-30 minutes, it wouldn't play at all. Could anyone tell me what I've been doing wrong?

sounds like classic signs of cheap media,ritek go4 branded, or verbatim is the media of choice here.
