2 AVI files to DVD-R

I have 2 AVI files. Its one movie splitted in 2 AVI files, I need to join these 2 AVI files and then convert to DVD-R? I was reading somewhere that I could use VirtualDub to join these 2 files. Can anyone give me any suggestions on the steps I need to take to create this movie on a DVD-R? Thanks in advance.

You shouldn't join the files directly, this can lead to sync issues.It's better to join them using an avisynth script.
